I am so glad that you found your way here!
Taking the first step to even explore what therapy might be like is a huge one, and I’m so happy you've made it this far.
Change can be hard. It occurs all around us on a daily basis, whether it’s within our control or not.
Sometimes, along the way, we get stuck in unhealthy patterns of resistance and struggle, have unrealistic ideas of how we want things to be, or lose sight of our values and start living in a way that doesn't feel true or authentic to us.
Through my professional and personal experience, I have developed a belief that how we handle change and struggle is one of the most important factors in determining our quality of life. The biggest lesson we can learn when going through challenge is learning how to handle it in a healthier way when it inevitably happens again in the future. We cannot avoid struggle, but we can certainly work through past and current barriers and build strength for the future.
Within the art therapy & counseling services I offer, I will help you process and clear the negative thoughts and feelings that are attached to past challenges that have become roadblocks, providing safety and trust. I will help strengthen the many positive qualities you possess, focusing on empowerment. I will help you explore creative and doable strategies to bounce back from struggle and shift perspective toward positive change. Using art therapy, play therapy, EMDR, and other treatment specialties, we will work as a team to help you reach your goals and nurture the creativity within you.
For Kansas LPC's, I offer clinical supervision for therapists working toward clinical licensure. And, I offer ATR supervision for art therapists seeking additional credentialing.
